From the nineteenth century, most Czech and Moravian foundries took to producing funerary cast iron – such as tombstone crosses, plaques, grilles and bars for tombs, and sculptures. These freely appearance of cemeteries, with crucifixes appearing in villages and the open countryside. Small religious objects were intended for display indoors.
